Even though most of our chocolates do not have allergens in their composition and, even though we work to avoid contamination, our small facilities do not allow us to guarantee that they are free of contamination by trace. This is why, in the label we not only include the allergens that the chocolate may contain, but we also warn you about the possible presence of nuts, milk and egg protein and gluten.

Cocoa butter is the oil in the cocoa beans. Just as almonds contain oil, cocoa has a percentage of oil (cocoa butter) that is extracted from the beans using a press and that we add to some of our chocolates to make them greasier.

We lost faith in seals and certificates a long time ago. We know fair trade is a grand option, but it has some flaws. That is why we like working with the farmers directly. They sell a product with a great added value (only the best cocoa makes for the best chocolate) and we want to buy it. Now of course, being so small makes the direct purchase from the farmers impossible sometimes, because of the importation fees and transport charges. For this, we use mediators. We demand of them that the prices of every step in the chain are published so that you know exactly where every cent goes when you pay for your Bean to bar.

Chocolate is best preserved at a temperature of 17 degrees and 60% humidity. A wine fridge is a great place. If you do not have access to one, simply leave it at room temperature, below 23 degrees, and away from sunlight. When summer comes and temperatures rise above 26 degrees, it is best to put them in a Tupperware hermetically sealed and store them in the fridge. Before eating them, we recommend leaving them outside the fridge for about 20 minutes so that it warms and so as to avoid condensation.

The Sweet Words bars are made of milk chocolate or dark chocolate and it is totally possible to customize if you purchase at least 20 units. We can design them with the names of the bride and groom, the date of the christening, the logo of your company or whatever you like. Write to us and we will start working on it!

Unfortunately, the red fuse includes wheat flour so it is not recommended for celiacs. Nevertheless, just as we do with allergens, we are constantly working on finding solutions so that you can enjoy our products. Please be patient.

Bean to bar means “from the bean to the bar” and it refers to the chocolates that are produced from cocoa beans. We use it to differentiate them from other productions of chocolate that have a chocolate covering (the chocolate is bought from another farm- normally a bigger one) or from chocolates made of cocoa paste. Bean to bar is also the name of the micro chocolate industries that have been growing since 2008 and that are changing the chocolate business that belonged, until then, to the big corporations exclusively.
